What a charming story and what a beautiful life your parents had in New York 🤍 Thank you for sharing, this felt like straight out of a 90s romantic movie!
This was such a pleasure to read. Especially since I can see that Essex sign from out my window! It made me feel so appreciative for my own memories I'm cultivating with my husband in Manhattan, and nostalgic for this bygone era. :)
Thank you so much for reading and supporting! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It's wonderful to hear that it resonated with you, especially with the Essex sign right outside your window. 🥹💘 Wishing you many more beautiful moments with your husband! xx
NEVER BEFORE (and never after?) as in the Late 1990s NYC was So Cool, So Safe, So Clean, So Vibrant, So Beautiful, So Energetic, So Full of Life, So Iconic, So Effervescent, So Dynamic, So Cosmopolitan, So Productive, So Ambitious, So Refreshing, So Influential, So, So, So…
Very Fortunate and Very Happy of having lived in NYC in the Late 1990s - at its Peak & its truly GILDED AGE!
Such a beautiful tribute to your parents' experience living in NYC. Seems like a dream! I grew up watching the same romcoms as you, and always romanticized the city, too. I'm Canadian, but my husband and I got engaged in NYC, and go back often because it's our happy place. You captured such a special feeling of being there at a different time, and I felt like I was transported there reading this!
Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤️ I’m so glad the piece resonated with you. NYC truly holds a special place for so many, and how wonderful that you and your husband have it as your happy place. Wishing you many more beautiful memories there!
Like a beautiful fairytale, indeed the NYC many like myself can only dream about, privileged, strong, full of promises kept, an unending flow of opportunities and most beautiful memories made for an equally beautiful future. Thanks for sharing 🤓🇺🇸💯

Totally my pleasure, thank you too and beautiful times, writing and personal experiences ahead, many thanks 🤓📚🔖💯
A beautiful read and gorgeous photos (that match box collection!). Also a big fan of that Vanity Fair excerpt and the Manet-like glow of Balthazar.
